Billings and Fees

We bulk bill all medical consultations. Please be aware, you may incur out-of-pocket expenses for some services not covered by Medicare. Due to rising operational costs, we may charge you a small fee for some services such as medical consumables used as part of your treatment to cover these additional costs so that we can continue to provide you with high quality care. Some medical procedures may also attract out of pocket expenses and it depends on the complexity of the procedure. A list of these charges are available at reception, and your doctor will advise you of the estimated out-of-pocket expenses at time of your consultation.

All Cosmetic Medicine, Travel Clinic and some Skin Cancer Clinic consultations will be privately billed.

Employment medicals, Insurance medicals and Taxi medicals cannot be bulk billed, and attract out-of-pocket expenses. Please speak to our friendly reception staff for a list of fees.

A fee will be charged for workcover and TAC at time of consultation. We will provide you with invoice to claim your funds back through the respective agencies.

Private patient’s standard consultation during business hours is $80 and afterhours is $120.

We request you to settle all outstanding accounts at time of consultation. We accept Cash, EFTPOS, Visa, Master Card, Amex and Diners Club. An additional fee may be charged for accounts not settled on same day to cover administrative costs.

Cancellation Policy

Our reception staff will make every effort to send you a reminder 24 hours prior to all long appointments. Please inform us if you cannot attend a long appointment so that we can help you reschedule your appointment at the next earliest, available time. A failure to attend or cancellations within 24 hours will attract a fee. All Skin Cancer Clinic appointments, cosmetic medicine treatment appointments and Travel Clinic appointments will need to be guaranteed with a credit card at time of booking.

Our staff do not give results over the phone. If you wish to be advised when your results become available, we can call you and help you book an appointment so that you can discuss your results with your doctor. Otherwise, you are welcome to book an appointment a few days after you had your tests done. In the event of a clinically significant result, we will contact you to offer an appointment to discuss these results with your doctor as soon as possible. Please ensure that we have your current contact details.

Reminder Service

We are committed to providing you and your family with preventative care. We operate a structured reminder system using modern technology which helps us identify patients who are due for their preventative medical care. Some examples of this would be people who may be due for their yearly flu vaccination, a pap smear, a mole check or a health and wellness check. If you choose not to be part of this system, please advise our staff in reception and complete a form.

Interpreter Service

We welcome patients from all ages and backgrounds. We can organise an interpreter service if you prefer to speak in your language. While booking your appointment, please let us know if you would like us to book an interpreter. Please ensure you give us adequate notice if you need an interpreter, and you may need to book a long appointment. We are always committed to providing you with high quality medical care, ensuring you completely understand the nature of your health concerns, and that you receive holistic care with a patient centred approach in managing all your health care needs.

Our doctors currently speak English, Hindi and Telugu. We are a team of keen learners and are enthusiastic to upskill and learn new languages as we love travelling and meeting people from different cultures and backgrounds. Please refer back to our website as we will keep expanding our services to serve the wider multicultural community of this great nation.

Prescriptions and Referral Letters

It is our practice policy that all prescriptions (new or repeat scripts) and referral letters (new or renewal) require you to make an appointment with your doctor. It is only under exceptional circumstances that your doctor may provide you with a repeat script if you are unable to attend an appointment and require a medication as part of your chronic illness. The decision of your doctor will be final in this matter. Small additional costs may apply to cover administration costs such as using a secure, registered post. We kindly request you only use this service in exceptional circumstances. Scripts for opiates, benzodiazepines or similar medications cannot be mailed to you, and you will need to make an appointment with your doctor.

We pride ourselves on our commitment to providing excellent service in a warm and friendly atmosphere. We request you write to us with your concerns, feedback, compliments or suggestions. We value your input and will strive to continue to improve our services as your satisfactions is our only goal always.
